Hi! I’m a mum, HLTA and School Librarian in a Primary School, and have been recognised for the work I do through two national awards; School Librarian Of The Year 2018 Honour List, and OU/UKLA School Reading Champion Highly Commended 2020, both of which astound me as I just do what I love – share amazing books with children in the hope of building life long readers. 

I can most often be found with a children’s book in hand, searching out the next new addition to my personal bookshelf in school. Every child should experience the joy of reading for pleasure, which means pairing the right book with the right child. I know the children, because I talk with them, read with them, learn with them, laugh with them. This is my journey to get to know the books that will help them discover the pleasure of books for themselves.
